It’s birthday party week at tell it to your neighbor!!! I’ve been wanting to share birthday parties for a long time but two things have prevented me from doing it. #1. No time to write. I like sharing the story and I like taking my time to write it. #2. Photography. I’m usually the photographer, I barely have time to take a few snapshots of my parties and I’m lucky if those few photos are in focus. Ha! Then I compare my simple party photos to the picturesque parties I see on Pinterest and other blogs. None of this is good and it prevents me from doing what I want, so let’s blow-up #1 and #2! I’m sharing the way TITYN does it. This is how we do it, all hands are in the air… 🙂
This is my son’s 3rd birthday party (a year ago) in our backyard with just our family. He wanted a Mickey Mouse party and he wanted everyone to wear his favorite color orange. So a Mickey Mouse Orange party it was and I did my best to incorporate the two. 🙂 You’ve seen the Invitation and the #3 Cake and now here are the rest of the details:
The disposable sippy cup:
The first use of our Sand and Water table:
With everyone in the same color, I felt camaraderie, we were a big team celebrating Beau!
Party favors were peanut butter crackers (for the hungry ride home) and orange slices in a sand shovel from IKEA:
And here are a few pics of the After Party:
I feel uncomfortable posting this party without links and sources for everything. So, if you have a question about anything, leave it in the comment section or on Facebook and I’ll reply as soon as I can!
Stay posted this week for my daughter’s Wild Kratts party and my son’s Scooby-Doo Meets Batman party! Less words, less comparison, more posting!
